Install the Bottom Upholstery

 Back

   
 1. Make sure you have the 'Passenger' upholstery on the Passenger seat.
   (and Driver on Driver)

   The upholstery parts are marked as such.

 2. This is the center "Canyon".
     You will hog-ring the Center Listing Strip into this canyon.

 3. This is the Center Listing Strip.
       (red arrow)
      It has 3 holes for the hog-rings.
4  4. Make sure the center of the upholstery is centered over the foam.
   Insert 3 hog-rings into the Center Listing Strip.
 5. Hog-ring the side Canyons.
    Make sure you have the center Listing Strip perfectly vertical:
     this will put the upholstery in the proper 'fore & aft' position.

   *There is a space in the side Canyon Listing Strips,
       (green arrow)
      put this space where the Center Listing Strip is.
 6. Hog-ring the other side.

 7. Tear a piece of the included cotton padding,
     as wide as the leg bolster
     as long as the leg bolster.
      (green lines)
 8. Lay the cotton on TOP of the leg bolster.
 9. Do the other side.
 10. Grab the rear corner with the slit for the backrest bracket,,,
 11. PULL  and slide the upholstery over the backrest bracket.
 12. Use your fingers to position the cotton padding under the welted edge...

 13. GATHER  the cotton & upholstery together...
 14. ROLL  the two over the edge of the seat...

 15. PULL down and rearward.

 16. PULL the edge welt rearward to the rear corner,,,
4  17. ROLL  the corner.

  Repeat on the other side of the seat.
 18. The "Face" of the upholstery is now attached.

  Next: Hog-ring the underside flaps to the steel pan:
 19. With the pan up on edge,,,

 20. Grab the center of the upholstery,
        lock your elbows, lean over the seat and
        PULL the front down.
 21. Hog-ring the front of the upholstery.
 22. Hog-ring the front corners of the upholstery.

 23. Turn the pan over,
        Grab the rear of the upholstery,
        lock your elbows, lean over the seat and
        PULL the rear down.
         Hog-ring the the upholstery.

 24. Grab the side of the upholstery,
        lock your elbows, lean over the seat and
        PULL the side down.
         Hog-ring the the upholstery.

 The bottom is now done.

 Next: Re-Assemble the seat.
