Paint the Seat Pans |
Back
|
 |
1. Mazda did not paint the seat pans.
You will find surface rust, this should be corrected. |
 |
2. After removing the old hog-rings
from the edges
you can lift and separate the foam (with upholstery
attached)
from the metal seat pan.
|
 |
3. You will need to spray the inside
and outside. |
 |
4. 'Rust Converter' spray was used
to neutralize the rust, converting it to primer. |
 |
5. Here I painted the pans gloss
Black... |
 |
6. Bob painted his pans Silver... |
 |
7. I now paint the pans
White:
a) the rust converter makes rust Black,
it is hard to see a
missed spot if using Black paint.
b) the clean steel is shiny silver,
it is hard to see a
missed spot if using Silver paint.
Paint the pans White. Easy to see any missed spots.
